WHAT QUALIFICATIONS DO I NEED ?

As stated previously there exists only a need to be able to communicate confidently and well with people and possess a good friendly nature.

The minimum Educational requirement is that you have completed high school or have a College certificate, a Bachelors degree, or certificates through work experience - that's all!

There is no requirement for teaching experience, some schools will provide training to their foreign teachers, others teachers are guided through the methods of teaching by Chinese English teachers and other foreign teachers, whilst all teachers have our organization's constant support throughout your entire stay in China to draw on.

WHAT DOCUMENTATION DO I NEED TO PROVIDE?

Rest assured there is a position waiting for you here in China, such is the demand for teachers, what is required at this point is the following documentation:

1.    Resume ? A brief resume outlining your personal details and your Educational and work history. If you have been involved in any form of teaching or instruction whether it be work related training, tutoring, assisting children with homework, training of staff at any level and the like, it would be of great benefit to your application and subsequent position if you included this in your resume. We request also that, where possible, your resume is formatted in a Microsoft Word document.

2.    Educational and/or work related certificates ? The relevant Chinese Government Departments require a copy of your highest education qualification certificate and/or any work related certificates, especially those, which relate to the training of staff etc.

3. Passport ? A current passport is required. A scanned copy is   preferred.  

4. Photo ? A scanned copy or a digital photo, if not clearly visible on  your passport submission, is required.

5. Medical certificate ? This is only required in certain provinces in  China, we will advise you if one is required for your particular  position. If so, a copy of a sample medical certificate can be  supplied upon request. As of March, 2006 all medicals must be  performed at predetermined hospitals and medical centers as   sanctioned by the Chinese National Government.

It would be greatly appreciated if the majority of these documents could be forwarded, via email as soon as is possible, and at all possible and at the same time so as to expediate the processing of your documentation here in China, and thus assist in the speedy submission of your employment package.

WHAT INFORMATION WILL I RECEIVE ABOUT MY EMPLOYMENT POSITION?

Every successful applicant will receive a detailed employment package, from a, or various contracted schools, so that each applicant may peruse and evaluate the best employment package for them.

The employment package contains information such as:

- Salary
- Additional salary benefits.
- Airfare reimbursement.
- Location of the school.
- Details about the city in which the school is located .
- Size of apartment.
- List of Furniture and appliances in your apartment.
- What utilities are paid for .
- Computer and internet provisions .
- Size of the school.
- Full description of the school.
- Whether meals are provided.
- Provisions in regard to your accommodation .
- Teaching materials that will at your disposal.
- How many teachers at the school.
- Map of China and the location of your particular city.

The package is extremely detailed and is intended to provide you with an indication of what you will walk in on when you arrive in China.

It is at this point that we encourage all applicants to ask any and all questions they could possibly think of in regards to their living and working in China. Please remember our PLACEMENT MANAGERS are in China so that we can provide first hand knowledge of your particular position.

AFTER OFFICIAL ACCEPTANCE OF YOUR POSITION

Once you have accepted the position which we have allotted to you, your school will confirm your placement and the formal processing that is required by the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs Bureau (SAFEA), the Government department responsible for the administration of ALL foreigners living and working in China and the Provincial Education Department will commence.

OFFICIAL GOVERNMENTAL PROCESSING

It is advised, with sufficient time permitting, that ALL applicants/teachers arrive in China with a CHINESE Z WORKING VISA, that is, teachers should possess a Z visa prior to arrival. In order to obtain a Z visa from your countries Chinese Embassy, you will require:

1.       VALID AND CURRENT PASSPORT

2.    LETTER OF INVITATION

This is an official letter of invitation authorized by your school and the provincial Education department here in China. Once this has been processed we will forward it to you via email and by post (so we will require a secure postal address, as these will be the original documents).

3.    WORKING PERMIT

This is an official working permit issued by the SAFEA Bureau and the Labor Department here in China. Once this has been processed we will forward it to you via email and by post (so we will require a secure postal address, as these will be the original documents).

4.    Z VISA APPLICATION FORM

This can be obtained from the Chinese Embassy or Consulate nearest to you or from your travel agent. Most travel agents will assist you with the processing of your visa application as part of their service.

5.    MAKE YOUR VISA APPLICATION

Once you have the above documentation you can apply for and obtain your CHINESE Z WORKING VISA, this process usually takes approximately 5-6 working days, unless you are willing to pay for an express application which will take 1-2 working days.

6.   RECEIVE YOUR Z WORKING VISA AND PURCHASE YOUR AIRLINE TICKET

Once you have received your Z visa and purchased your airline ticket you will need to inform us of your travel and flight schedule so that we can inform the school, who will then make arrangements to greet you at the airport upon arrival.

IS IT OK TO ARRIVE ON A TOURIST VISA?

If time is pressing, that is the school require you to arrive ASAP, it is amenable to arrive on a tourist visa. If this is the case then we will advise you of the procedural guidelines prior to your arrival and after your arrival.
